MEET THE MODS

Mod Cher
Involved in pretty much everything you can think of, from beefleaf merch to poetry and writing and even the occasional doodle, Mod Cher has done it all. She is what the mod team has dubbed “the muse mod” who will help with creative inspiration along with merch!
Why she loves beefleaf: they’re rich, complex characters who ground each other and have such an unmatchable, fun chemistry—paired with tragedy and a hopeful ending. They are gender. They are everything. Do not question the limit to their madness. Just know that Beefleaf Canon.Mod Gio
A beefleaf enthusiast and philosopher, our favorite pairing lives rent free in Mod Gio's mind and also ends up in her drawings as well. They will oversee zine organization and the art!
Why she loves beefleaf: there are a plethora of reasons, but their complexities drive her a little insane. Not to mention, their cuteness knows no limits and Mod Gio has taken it upon herself to ensure their relationship's development.Mod Gui
A curator of both fics and art, Mod Gui enjoys anything and everything beefleaf. She will be supervising the art for the zine!
Why she loves beefleaf: the endless pain and potential in them and their story leaves so much to be explored!Mod Kat
Mod Kat is an avid beefleaf fic reader and fanart enjoyer, who also dabbles in
fic writing herself.
She is our social media and outreach mod!
Why she loves beefleaf: their top tier dynamic and tragic intertwining of fates are
absolutely delectable.
Mod Lee
While they enjoy writing beefleaf, it's more appropriate to just say Mod Lee cries over them instead. They will be monitoring and beta reading our fic submissions!
Why they love beefleaf: the universe was in a silly goofy mood when pairing the star-crossed soulmates that are beefleaf together, only to also actively keep them apart.Mod Yue
Our resident pink lover and graphic artist, Mod Yue adores the bubbly Shi Qingxuan and reticient He Xuan's dynamic and
all art and fics that follow.
She is our head designer!
Why she loves beefleaf: their cheerful + quiet dynamic is wonderful and if whipping up modern aus is what needs to be done to stave off the pain, then that's nobody's
business but hers.

APPLICATION INFO/GUIDELINES

This zine will have open applications from May 16-June 30. This application is a way for the mod team to get a head count of potential contributors for the layout, an idea of who will be submitting work, as well as contact information. All communication will be done through Discord and email.

・Contributors may submit up to three works, however we cannot guarantee that all three will be included.・Contributors have the option to submit pre-made work that follows the theme or create zine-specific work. If choosing to create zine-specific work, please include up to three pieces in your initial application that best represents your skill and style.・We require all submissions to be sfw (suggestive themes are okay, but no explicit nsfw). Dead dove works will not be considered.・Contributors must be at least 16 years old by the time of submission (June 30).・All submitted works must be original and complete pieces. Any copied works will not be permitted nor tolerated.・Please compile your selected works into a Google Drive file and be prepared to share a viewable link in your application.*

PAGE ARTISTS

Page artists are expected to submit at least one full-colored and rendered piece in A4. We will accept both traditional and digital art with the requirement that pieces regardless of medium be submitted in high quality images (300dpi preferably).Page artists looking to create new work for the zine should include a portfolio with works that best represent their artistic ability for mod review.

MERCH ARTISTS

Merch artists are expected to submit at least one merchandise idea for the type of merch they wish to create. No previous merch experience is required for merch artists looking to produce new work for the zine. Merch artists must also include a small portfolio showcasing prior art and artistic ability for merch, or with a similar style to the merch they intend to create.Given the limitations of pay-for-production physical merch, the mod team would prefer for merch artists to create zine-specific merchandise. However, previously made work looking to be remade will be reviewed as well!

WRITERS

Writers have a 1.5k minimum and 10k maximum word count limit. This maximum is not limited to only one work, but can be the combined word count of up to three fics. The mod team highly recommends that at least one finished piece submitted for review include beefleaf (or at least be written about TGCF), but will still look over all submissions!Writers should include a portfolio with at least three pieces of writing that, in total, amount to at most 10k. Writers have the option to present their works through simplenote, Notion, or Carrd, and linking it in the form.
